Commissioning your own drawing consists of a few simple steps:

Contact > Choose Package > Payment > Drawing > Delivery

1. CONTACT

Send me a message at info@thecartist.com or contact me via social media about the car you want to have drawn. In order to produce the best possible rendering of your car, please send 2 to 3 good quality reference photographs or anything else relevant to the subject matter via email. We can discuss the details you would like to include in your artwork, such as logos, backgrounds, people, etc. After deciding on a layout, you will then be able to proceed to the next step of choosing a package best suited to you.

2. CHOOSE PACKAGE

Commissioned packages for automotive art range from $350 - $550 USD. You may choose a package as set out in my brochure which can be downloaded here.

3. PAYMENT

After you’ve chosen and confirmed the package you want, I will send you a PayPal invoice stating all the details of the artwork - payment must be made before I start the drawing.

4. DRAWING

Once payment is received I will schedule your commissioned artwork and start it as soon as possible.

The entire commission process should take roughly 1 to 2 weeks to complete, depending on the number of commissions that I have. I will be in contact with you when working on your drawing and will send you pictures when completed.

Mediums: I use a wide variety of high-quality markers, pens and pencils to achieve the highest possible level of detail in my drawings. These include Copic markers and multiliners, Faber-Castell, Derwent and Prismacolor pencils.

Paper: All my drawings are done on high-quality Strathmore Bristol 300gsm board. This heavy duty, ultra-white paper board is acid-free and archival which means that the paper will not turn yellow over time.

Fixative: After each drawing is completed, I spray it with several light layers of high-quality Krylon Gallery Series Fine Art fixative which protects the artwork from smudging, dusting and fading.

5. DELIVERY

When the commissioned artwork is finished and you are satisfied with the end result, I will ship the artwork to you!

Artworks are professionally prepared, packaged and shipped in solid, sturdy postal tubes. The tube gives the artwork maximum protection and ensures it arrives at its final destination in perfect condition.

Shipping comes with full online tracking and tracing. Delivery within 3 to 6 business days, depending upon destination and customs.
